English Art & Creative Exploration Teacher Wanted!
Smiley Rhythm is looking for a creative and curious teacher who enjoys exploring ideas with young children to join our team in Taipei City.
We are especially interested in candidates with an artistic or creative background, while also welcoming applicants from other fields who can bring their own perspectives, strengths, and curiosity into the classroom.
Our classes are taught in English and inspired by the principles of Reggio Emilia. We value curiosity, hands-on experiences, open-ended exploration, and respect for children’s ideas.
【Job Description】
• Plan and develop English-based art and creative exploration classes for young children
• Design lessons that align with our educational approach while bringing your own creative ideas and strengths into the classroom
• Facilitate open-ended exploration and respond to children’s ideas and interests
• Encourage curiosity, creative thinking, problem-solving, and perseverance through hands-on experiences
• Work with the admin team to arrange general class materials, and independently source special or art-specific materials when needed
• Document children’s learning, ideas, and exploration, and share observations with parents when appropriate
【Requirements and Qualifications】
• A bachelor’s degree in art, design, education, or a related field
• An artistic or creative background is preferred. Candidates from other fields with strong creativity, imagination, and a genuine interest in exploring ideas with children are also welcome
• At least 3 years of experience working with young children, preferably ages 3–6
• Native or near-native English proficiency
• TEFL or a related English teaching certificate preferred
• Able to develop and facilitate open-ended creative experiences
• Warm, playful, flexible, and responsive to children’s ideas
• Experience with Reggio Emilia or inquiry-based learning is a plus
• Valid work permit or other legal authorization to work in Taiwan required

【Position】
Position: Part-time English Art & Creative Exploration Teacher
Location: Smiley Rhythm's Ren’ai and Zhongxiao locations in Taipei City, with possible teaching assignments at other locations.
Teaching Schedule: Teaching opportunities are available on weekdays and weekends (Saturday or Sunday). Class schedules will be arranged based on teacher availability.
Hourly teaching rate: NT$800–1,000 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
